FAQ

FAQ
How long will a commission take? Lead times vary, once I have received your enquiry I will be able to give precise timings, if you need a painting/doodle done by a certain date, please include this in your enquiry. Doodles can be done and delivered very quickly.
Can you paint other animals besides horses, cats and dogs? Yes, all animals are welcome. It is unrealistic for me to paint large animals mixed with smaller ones though. (e.g a guinea pig with a Great Dane!)
Do you offer framing services? No, however portraits are delivered mounted, so you need only place them into a frame.
Can I request a custom background? I offer splattered or dark backgrounds, however I am unwilling to paint scenes as this takes the focus off the subject itself.
Do I need both pets in the same photograph to work from? No, you can have separate photographs of your pets and I'll bring them all into one portrait. As long as they are good quality photographs in similar poses.
Photography Guide
If you have a favourite photo, we'll use that- one which captures your pets personality.
To take a great photo, head somewhere with natural lighting behind your camera (in front of your pet). Get someone to help by standing by the photographer’s side, holding a treat - food always does the trick!
If you want the bridle, head collar, collar etc. included in the portrait, let me know as I will automatically ignore it.
I cannot work from a photo of an old photo, all detail will be lost.
